The tapestry represents the famous Vasily Perov's painting "Hunters at Rest", 1871.
This tapestry features three hunters who have stopped to rest. They are proud of themselves since they display their trophies. One of the hunters is telling a story and is quite animated, perhaps it is a hunter's legend. His eyes burn, he is quite tense and we can tell that he is putting his heart and soul into the story, most likely exaggerating the events. The second hunter listens with interest and is seemingly taken in by the story, by the expression on his face you can see that he really believes the storyteller, in contrast to the third hunter who rests quietly on the ground. This hunter is frowning and probably has an ironic reaction to what is hearing. He seems to be involved in his own thoughts and not very interested in the story being told.
