This tapestry is after one of a series painted by Francois Boucher (1703-1770), and shows a young boy fishing by the lake, a typical pastoral activity reminiscent of the Rococo era. Fran?ois Boucher was a French painter of the first half of the eighteenth century, a proponent of Rococo taste, known for his idyllic and voluptuous paintings on classical themes. Boucher's tapestries depicted an idealized way of life and were typified by scenes of young people dallying in idyllic country settings. Full of wit, vitality and pretty girls, they were perfectly suited to the boudoirs.
This gorgeous tapestry wall hanging will make your home more unique. Great gift that is suitable for any interior design.
